Power Bank Vs Portable Solar Panels
We sell portable solar panels like Lum Solar 60, which are quite popular.
So, from our perspective, let me share my understanding for your reference:
First, from a functional standpoint, it cannot replace a Power Bank because, most obviously, it lacks the ability to store energy.
Therefore, it cannot provide an immediate, stable power output. If this is a concern, then it's better to choose a Power Bank.
So, what are the advantages of portable solar panels?
We think there are several. First, products like Lum Solar 60 can directly charge USB devices, which often have built-in batteries.
So, if portability is a priority, this is undoubtedly the best choice. Second, the battery inside loses its charge over time when left unused, whereas solar panels do not have this issue.
Therefore, if it's meant as a long-term emergency power source, the latter would undoubtedly be more reliable.
Additionally, there are products that combine both features. Our latest product, Lum Pyramid, is one such example. It's currently crowdfunding on KS and has achieved good results.
